Personalised plans for sustainable results
Meet Kirsty Olding Christchurch Nutritionist
Kia Ora, my name is Kirsty, I am an Associate Registered Nutritionist with the Nutrition Society of New Zealand. Whole Life Nutrition was born out of my passion for three things – Nutrition, Wellbeing and Community.
-
Nutrition
Completing a 3-year Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Human Nutrition, I understand the vital role nutrition plays in overall health.
Enjoying a healthy diet full of nourishing whole foods will give you sustained energy and health benefits, including minimising the risk of lifestyle-related diseases. I will personalise recommendations for you that are sustainable long-term and whanau friendly, steering away from restrictive diets.
-
Wellbeing
Wellbeing encompasses many things including our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. Factors such as diet, stress, sleep hygiene and our exercise/movement, all influence our wellbeing. With busy lives it can be difficult to put wellbeing at the top of our priority list.
As well as this, many of us experience health challenges, hormonal issues or physical injuries that may affect how we live. This is why I believe a holistic approach to health is vital, as there are a multitude of factors influencing our food choices, body composition and overall wellbeing.

Community
At Whole Life Nutrition, community is a big part of the puzzle. Committing to a healthy lifestyle can be very daunting if you feel isolated or alone. My clients can become part of the Whole Life Nutrition community, sharing the challenges and wins together.
Join us and participate in monthly online challenges, gain access to member discounts and get practical guidance for everyday life.
I can also help you connect with community groups and classes which may assist you on your journey to wellbeing.
My goal
As a busy mum myself, I am passionate about helping women who have struggled to prioritise their personal wellbeing. I can help individuals and families achieve realistic nutrition goals, including supporting parents navigating food aversions in children.
My Story
“Like many, I have had my share of challenges, at times impacting my ability to live a healthy active life.”
For most of my 20’s, I was unable to exercise or work due to a chronic pelvic pain condition and pudendal neuralgia that lasted 8 years. Throughout my 20’s and 30’s, I battled living with severe endometriosis (having two surgeries), and sought out ways to support my body with nutrition and herbal remedies.
After a hard journey to recovery I started to get my life back .... and miraculously ended up having another baby 10 years after my first!
Around this time I began to take a real interest in nutrition, and when my youngest was two I started studying – motivated to help with her sensory processing disorder and extreme aversions to new and unknown foods.
Thankfully, my daughter has made incredible progress with food and I am now healthy and well. I love going for beach or forest walks with our dog, doing weekly pilates, online cardio and resistance training. As a family we love camping, getting out on the boat and enjoying nature.
